Let’s Get Moving!

Residents at Dalgety Bay Care Home have embarked on an exciting new initiative this month – the Corridor Challenge. Each community within the care home was adorned with a star shape, creatively decorated by the residents themselves. The challenge? To walk to the star and then relocate it along the corridor for the next day, aiming to increase their daily steps.

In addition to this engaging activity, daily light chair exercises have been introduced in the lounge, featuring an exercise ball and mini pedal exerciser. The primary goal behind these initiatives is to promote physical activity and mobility among the residents at our care home in Fife.

Both residents and staff have embraced the challenges with enthusiasm, finding joy in the journey towards better health and mobility. The Corridor Challenge and light chair exercises have not only encouraged movement but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and fun within the care home community.
