outdoor barbecue with residents and family

Friends and Family Barbecue

July Activity Diary: Summer BBQ

This July, we invited friends and family of our residents to a Summer barbecue.

The sun was out and we all sat together enjoying delicious food prepared by our chef. The residents had a great time mixing, making new friends and enjoying a burger or two.

Why did we organise a BBQ?

At Dalgety Bay, we believe in introducing variety to our residents’ stay. We also want to ensure there are exciting and different opportunities for family and friends to join in with.

Sociable events like our outdoor barbecue allow residents to have more excitement and make memories with their family and friends.

The BBQ was also a good opportunity for our residents to get to know other people in the home that they may not have spoken to yet. Plus, who doesn't love a summer barbecue?!

What food did we prepare?

Our chefs used our outdoor grill to cook up all of the barbecue classics - hot dogs, hamburgers, and more.

Whatever your dietary needs and preferences are, our top chefs will provide luxury meals full of nutrition. It’s one of the special qualities that set our care apart from other homes.

How did residents respond?

Our residents really enjoyed the summer BBQ and their friends and family too.

Family members are always welcome to join our activities, whether coming to the home for something different like a BBQ, or an outdoor trip further afield, we endeavour to make opportunities that everyone can join in with.
