Dalgety Bay Care Home Celebrates its First Birthday
On Wednesday, 6th November, Dalgety Bay Care Home marked a very special milestone – the celebration of our first birthday and the official opening of the Home. It was a lovely day when residents, families, and staff came together to commemorate this wonderful occasion.
The day began with a flurry of activity as some of our residents helped to decorate the Home with colourful banners and balloons, adding a festive touch to the event. Deputy Provost Dave Dempsey kindly joined us to officially open the Home, and Dean the piper provided a truly local touch, playing his bagpipes as residents stepped outside for the ribbon cutting. His music continued to entertain everyone upstairs in the café and celebration room, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.
The celebrations featured a delicious buffet, complete with plenty of prosecco to toast to the occasion! It was a pleasure to see residents, their families, and staff enjoying the food and each other's company on our very first birthday.
A particularly heartfelt moment came when Tabatha, our Home Manager, presented a bouquet of flowers to Joan, who was our very first resident when Dalgety Bay Care Home opened one year ago. This gesture reminded us all of the wonderful community we’ve built over the past year and the meaningful relationships that have formed within our care home in Fife.
The event was a true celebration of everything that makes Dalgety Bay Care Home such a special place – the warmth, the care, and the sense of family shared by everyone here. Thank you to all the friends, families, and colleagues who joined us in making the day so special. We are so proud of how far we’ve come in just one year and are excited to see what the future holds for our Home and our wonderful residents.
