What is Dementia Care?

Dementia is a long-term neurological condition that can affect many aspects of a person’s life, including their memory, behaviour, communication, and ability to manage everyday tasks. A diagnosis of dementia can be a difficult and emotional time, but with the right care and support, people can continue to enjoy a life filled with purpose and comfort.

In a specialist care home, those living with dementia benefit from 24-hour support provided by professionals who understand the complexities of the condition. At Dalgety Bay Care Home, we know that every person’s journey with dementia is different. To ensure each resident receives the care they need, we develop tailored care plans that reflect their personal preferences, daily needs, and unique interests. By offering a compassionate and individualised approach, we create a safe, nurturing environment where residents can continue to engage in meaningful activities and enjoy the highest quality of life possible.
