Dalgety Bay Care Home recently held a vibrant and well-attended Open Day and Barbecue, offering residents, families, and the local community a delightful day of connection, fun, and delicious food. The event was a wonderful opportunity for prospective residents and their families to tour our facilities, while also providing a day of enjoyment and togetherness for our current residents and their loved ones.

The day began with an open house in the morning, where we welcomed prospective residents and their families to explore our home. Visitors were given guided tours of our state-of-the-art facilities, allowing them to see firsthand the comfortable and supportive environment we offer. Our staff were on hand to answer questions and showcase the various amenities and services that make Dalgety Bay a top choice for those seeking quality care.

As the day progressed, the weather remained pleasant, setting the perfect stage for our afternoon barbecue. Residents, family members, and friends gathered in our beautiful garden to enjoy a feast of grilled favourites, expertly prepared by our talented chefs. The atmosphere was lively and filled with laughter as everyone savoured the delicious food and took the opportunity to spend quality time together in the fresh air.

Adding to the day’s excitement were a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain everyone in attendance. Our tombola, raffle, and cake stall were particularly popular, offering a range of fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses, families, and staff members. Prizes included bottles of wine, meal vouchers, a movie night hamper, chocolate hampers, and beauty vouchers, all of which contributed to the success of the event. The funds raised from these activities were dedicated to our residents' fund, ensuring that we can continue to offer enriching experiences and activities for our residents throughout the year.

We were also delighted to welcome members of the local football team, Swifts FC, who took the time to stop by and chat with our residents. Their visit added a special touch to the day, as they shared stories and spent time engaging with our residents, further strengthening the bond between Dalgety Bay Care Home and the local community.

The open day and barbecue were not just about showcasing our home to prospective residents; they were about celebrating the sense of community that is at the heart of Dalgety Bay Care Home.
