A Wonderful Afternoon At Our Memory Cafe

Yesterday we held our Memory Café here at Dalgety Bay Care Home, and it turned out to be such a special afternoon. It’s always lovely when everyone comes together as a home to chat, laugh and share stories and today was certainly no different. The smell of fresh cake was in the air, and it was great seeing everyone so relaxed and enjoying each other’s company.

We swapped tales about famous people we’ve met, compared notes on world events and talked about some of the amazing places people have travelled to over the years. Every story led to another, and before long it felt like we’d all known each other forever. Moments like this remind us just how much wisdom and humour there is within our community in Dalgety Bay.

A huge thank you to Simon Riggs and his team for the incredible cakes — they went down a treat! It was a lovely reminder of how simple moments, good company, and a slice of cake can brighten everyone’s day.
